This Privacy Policy explains how Infinatec ("sparkbeat," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you access or use the sparkbeat mobile application, website, and related services.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide directly
Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:
- Account and profile information, such as your name, Apple sign-in information, email address if provided by Apple, phone number, job title, department, area, and profile image.
- Workspace information, such as business or store name, description, address, phone number, timezone, logo, departments, and area configuration.
- Operational data you create in the app, such as employee records, schedules, shift details, store events, calendar items, manager comments, engagement feedback, sales or performance entries, and notification preferences.
- Support communications and any information you choose to send when you contact us.
Information stored on your device
The current app implementation stores certain information locally on your device to support session persistence, cached workspace data, notification preferences, walkthrough state, local avatar images, and offline continuity. Authentication tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain rather than plain local storage.
Demo Mode
sparkbeat may offer a local Demo Mode with mock data so users can preview the product before connecting a live backend. Demo Mode is intended for evaluation and does not require a live authenticated workspace.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- Authenticate users and restore sessions.
- Provide employee management, roster planning, event scheduling, reminders, and reporting features.
- Save your workspace settings and preferences.
- Cache recent workspace data and replay pending changes when connectivity returns.
- Operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.
- Respond to support requests, legal requests, and account-related communications.
3. Notifications
If you grant notification permission, the app may schedule local notifications for event reminders and related operational alerts based on your settings. These notifications are managed on-device through Apple’s notification system.
4. How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only as needed to operate the Service, including:
- With service providers that help us host or support the Service, such as our backend infrastructure provider.
- With Apple as part of Sign in with Apple authentication.
- When required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to applicable law.
5. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain legitimate business records. Device-cached data may remain locally until cleared, the app is deleted, or account/session data is removed.
6. Your choices
- You can update certain profile and workspace details from within the app.
- You can manage notification permissions and preferences through the app and your device settings.
- If account deletion is available in your app version, you can initiate deletion there. You may also contact us using the details on the Support page or the Privacy Choices page for privacy or deletion requests.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. The current app implementation uses HTTPS for backend requests, secure token storage in Keychain, and backend access controls intended to isolate workspace data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s privacy
The Service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
9. International users
If you use the Service from outside the country where we operate, your information may be processed in other jurisdictions where we or our providers maintain operations. By using the Service, you understand that data protection laws may differ across locations.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and may provide additional notice where required by law.
11. Contact us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or want to submit a privacy request, contact support@sparkbeat.app or use the Support page.
